Putting Summer Away

As I look outside there are clear signs that autumn has arrived. The leaves are beginning to change colors, the temperature is falling, and the days are getting shorter. If that’s not enough to convince me than all I need do is look at the Halloween decorations. It’s a dead giveaway. As we enter the fall season, it’s time to go through the annual process of putting away summer. For me that means packing up the patio furniture, and getting the outside ready for cold weather. Simplify Your Life With Uber

I am all about simplifying my life. If there is something I can do to make my daily routine easier, I want to know about it. Just over a year ago I stumbled across an app for Uber. Uber is a venture-funded startup company based in San Francisco, California that makes a mobile application which connects passengers with drivers of luxury vehicles for hire. In short, Uber replaces my need to use a traditional taxi service. Continue reading


Need Time? Make Time

I know what you are thinking. How can I make time? There are only 24 hours in each day. I learned this lesson many years ago in college. At the time I was pledging my fraternity, Sigma Chi. One of my responsibilities was to hand and raise the American Flag each morning. Seemed easy enough right? I could wake up, have breakfast and raise the flag up the flagpole. Wrong. The flag needed to be raised before any of the “brothers” were awake. Not good. Continue reading
