Staying on top of your normal schedule while you are preparing for a move can be tough. You spend most of your free time packing and then once you get to your brand new home, unpacking. Chances are, during the packing process you will find that most of your cooking supplies are packed away. So what are you going to eat?
It’s all in the planning. Make a meal plan for the days leading up to and after your move. Premaking meals or pre-planning to make simple meals will help you stay on track. That way you’ll avoid having to dish out tons of money for take-out or finding yourself in a situation where you just don’t have any options to eat anything at home! These simple recipes are perfect to fit into your moving day schedule!

When you are moving, you want something easy to make that won’t require a lot of different pots and pans. When you arrive at your new house, all you have to do is defrost the soup in a pot (or in the microwave) and you have dinner ready to go.
2) Take advantage of your grill:
Chances are, you are going to pack up your grill until you put it right on the truck on moving day. You might as well take advantage of using it while you still have it. The benefit to cooking a meal on the grill is that it avoids making a mess in your kitchen while you are trying to pack everything up. It doesn’t matter what time of year it is, a move is a perfect time to get the most out of your grill.

Crock-pot recipes are great because all you really have to do is put all the ingredients in the pot and let them cook for a few hours. You can throw something together in the crock-pot, then go and pack or unpack. While you are crossing things off your moving to-do list, dinner will be simmering away for a few hours. Dinner will be ready and waiting for you when you are done. serve it a few hours later.

All you have to do is chop up some veggies, throw in some chicken or beef, cook everything together in a stir fry sauce of your choice- and dinner is served! Quick, easy and so delicious!
